Hotel Football scoops silverware at this year’s Hotel Cateys

Manchester is home to the UK’s leading Front of House team after Hotel Football scoops silverware at this year’s Hotel Cateys

Class of ‘92 owned Hotel Football beat off tough competition from the likes of The Ritz London and The Cavendish at the weekend to be awarded Front of House Team of the Year in the ‘Ballon d’Or of the hotel industry’, the Hotel Cateys.

Each year the Hotel Cateys celebrate the most successful hotels, hoteliers and hotel employees across the UK, recognising and rewarding individuals and teams which work tirelessly to make sure the business delivers an exceptional guest experience, day in, day out.

Hotel Football is located across the road from Old Trafford Football Stadium in Manchester and is managed by Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville’s hospitality management company, GG Hospitality. With 133 rooms, Hotel Football is the brainchild of the Class of ’92 – a world renowned group of players united not only by football and friendship but heritage, quality, ambition and relenting desire to win. These unifying forces sit at the heart of the brand –ultimately celebrating more than the obvious love of the game, by embracing its ability to bring fans, friends, and family together around a shared passion through innovative experiences.

GG Hospitality’s operations director Stewart Davies said: ”We are all so proud of this award and it is thoroughly deserved. Our Front of House Team is fully committed to high levels of service and our excellent guest feedback is testament to the team’s dedication to providing standout service, a service which allows them to demonstrate Hotel Football’s brand values – Inviting, Surprising and Playful – on a daily basis, 24/7.

“The Front of House Team goes over and above their job descriptions on a daily basis and it’s these things which have a huge impact on guest experience, increasing guest loyalty and repeat visits. Over the last eight months, the focus has been on an enhanced guest experience, and this Cateys award recognises all of the hard work the whole team has put in.”

Earlier this month Hotel Football was also awarded with Leading Hotel of the Year at the This is Manchester Awards. The awards championed and recognised Greater Manchester based individuals and organisations in fashion, entertainment, sports, hospitality, food and drink, as well as individuals and organisations who have contributed to the community. Hotel Football stood out to judges for its work in the community, in particular its partnership with ‘Foodinate’, a non for profit organisation set up to connect hotels and restaurants with centres in the north west supporting people on the poverty line. The partnership is a first of its kind for Manchester and means for every single person attending an event booked at Hotel Football, a hot, nourishing meal is provided for a local person in need at no extra cost.
